250ml is true for new but they say on a refill it is 230ml - I guess that 20ml doesn't drain - that stuff is pretty sticky.

Not sure about WD40, but maybe a decent flushing oil will do the job. When i changed mine, i did it after riding, so the FD was warm, and i left it to drain for an hour or so, frequently turning the hub to get as much oil out as possible.whitegloss said:Excellent thread above![]()
would it be worth flushing the FD with some wd40 etc once the oil has been emptied, fitting the FD back onto splines re fit wheel loosely and turn by hand, then re empty the thin oil from the FD???
