So there I am sat down after breakfast and drooling over the new LC GS in a motorcycle mag for about the umpteenth time. I've done all the calcs and my logic says it's a little to much to change and SWMBO agrees.
Well what happened next completely gobsmacked me. She say "for christ's sake go and buy the bloody thing, your like a boy that that's just lost his sweets, you work bloody hard so just do it"
Needless to say I was on the phone to my local dealer in seconds. Pic up a GS TE Thunder Grey ( I'm 63 so the red would be to fast for me) with all the goodies on April 20th. Got a good deal on p/x plus £500 of list and 1st service thrown in. Considering my 3 yr old GS needs new tyres, a service and MOT (another ￡500 or so) I'm a happy bunny.
How the feck do you deal with women's logic, although this time I'll go with it no problems. She must want something big and expensive soon
i just tried your system on my wife . all i got was if you go anywhere near that dealer i'm going to cut your fucking plums off

I did that once, i went to collect my new bike as the new kitchen units arrived
the delivery lads said give us a hand will you, i said sorry mate she's got her kitchen i'm off to get my new bike

Why even ask the missus? just do it, if it's your money that you are spending???????????????????????????????????????????????
Now I can understand the other half been a bit miffed if money's tight or there's something major that needs doing to the house,etc. etc.,and you want to spend 15k on a new bike,but if monies not a problem I'm afraid saying no and issueing threats for the sake of being obtrusive I don't understand.

Thankfully it's not the case with my wife. But keep in mind there are mean obtrusive women out there and many are married! One of my friends is unlucky enough to have a whiner wife who doesn't even like motorcycles
and she lays the guilt trip on him all the time. I have no idea why he tolerates her she's not even attractive. Who knows, maybe it's for the children?

I think I'm quite lucky then I said I wanted a new one , she said well you've never had anything in your life brand new so go for it, 
by the way your gonna need a better place than the shed that your old one was in, Oh and I need a gym while your there, so get a garage built too
So it's cost me as much again to get a proper man shed up electrikery ,tinternet, all insulated, why the feck not I can see it becoming the man shed ,gym , naughty step , so I may as well make it comfy
