FEEDBACK REQD - HEIN GERICKE RALLYE TUAREG BOOTS

I've had a pair for about 10 months.. so far very pleased with them... comfortable, warm and they have been 100% waterproof when subject to "normal" wet conditions, like riding to and around Princetown... haven't tested them wading about in fords though.

I've had one low speed "off" as well.. one of the metal clips got scraped and the outside leather near the toe.. my foot wasn't hurt at all.

I have treated them on a fairly regular basis with the Nikwax leather wax.

No sign of any wear at all... other than the scrape.

Aah, those I have tested by wading around in fords - BMW wellington boots :)

Got them

Well pleased, comfy and look the dog's. Haven't tested the waterproofing yet, mind.

Sorry, Its a bit late I know.

I recently replaced my Toerag boots with BM Transitions.

They are good boots never leaked, quite warm but as they aged I became conscious of the lack of support/protection they offered my ankles.

The downside of a boot that comfortable to walk around in I suppose.

Comfy... yes. Dry... 100%
But these are not a warm boot.
There's no insulation built into the lining and any warmth will be dependent on what socks your wearing.
Now if someone can recommend a quality sock you'll have a marriage made in heaven.
We've only had some mildly cold weather so far this year and my feet have been like blocks of ice at the end of a long journey.

Great boots in conjunction with the Hein Gericke "X - socks" and those lovely touratech mudflaps that hang off the back of the engine mmmm.......... toastie feet:thumb

Yup:thumb recommended,
Two years now, even cleaned them once, no leaks so far, inc ford crossings(length ways:)). Might be worth noting that they are tested as proper CE safety boots and labelled as such. After two years heavy use the stitching that holds the plastic gear change pad has disintegrated at the front. Otherwise they`re fine.

Had them for a month now, riding in all weathers, they are great.

Thanks for the feedback.

ALTBERGS

Get a pair of Altbergs all weather (AW) Hogg Lites made up - you won't be sorry for the wait! had a pair made and the best and most comfortable boot I've ever worn.
Can wear on on or off bike all day- perfect for travelling.

Having a pair of BMW boots replaced under warranty after 2000 miles......

Was that mileage walking or jogging Bert?

Had a pair of the HGs for 2 years, almost daily commuting in all weathers inlcuding Hong Kong's 35 degree hot and humid summers ... still up to it, still waterproof and don't even smell (that's the Odour Eaters for you ... socks stink ... ).

Great boots.

Nick:)
