-Never turn up early.

Looks a different experience from DFDS at Newcastle/IJmuiden where sometimes the pillion can't stand up on pegs to get off as the ceiling height is so low. Bikes parked in line and the GSA's panniers were inches from a car. Driver was unerstandably well hacked off. He couldn't open the passenger doors - bike was exactly in the middle of the pair of wire ropes used to strap onto.
3rd class citizens with them...

no, had a bit of good humored banter about speeding over the speed humps.
