The current Mrs Bilco requires a weekend away somewhere nice. Thought about a flight down to the sun but we`ve decided it`s not worth all the hassle for 3/4 days.

So, being half Irish she would llike to spend a few days in the Emerald Isle enjoying the hospitality

Just trying to find a ferry from Holyhead and the cheapest I can get is £220 return:eek::eek: Seems a bit steep to me

Anyone know where I can get a cheaper crossing to Dublin or Dun Loughrie??? Would like to sail out on 30th Oct and come back on 3rd November in the car:o

You'd probably be better off with a cheapo Ryanair or Aerlingus flight from Birmingham to Dublin and renting a car. I did this not long ago and it cost a total of £110 for return flights for two people with four days car rental. The car was a Fiesta but for 12 quid a day I wasn't complaining!

Aerlingus are currently doing free flights (plus taxes) for the days you're wanting to travel. Comes to about £88 return for two people. It changes by the hour though so you need to book sharpish particularly as you want to go at the end of half term week.

Flying also gives you more time to indulge in the black stuff when you get there  :thumb
