I never use ferries so would like any tips on how, where to book one and get the best price, please.
I plan on travelling by bike to Ibiza to surprise my boy and will spend 3 nights there. Valencia looks the closest to it for a ferry.
Thanks

Nice one.
Thanks

I've been to ibiza from Barcelona and also via Denia, Denia is the shortest and easiest route (ferry wise) depending on how you want to do it, But longer to ride to, and a very quaint port.

If i was going to advise you I'd say overnight from Barcelona and return via Denia. but be warned arriving into Barcelona the motorway off roads are numerous and very easy to take the wrong one.
You will need to follow your GPS very closely to get to the port. That said everything else was easy.

On return depending on your route back, i rode up via Zaragoza which is beautiful. If you do this, stay in the Ibis Zaragoza central it has off street parking and a lovely pictureque walk over the bridge into the city.
The ferry usually gets into Denia at 4pm so the ride up to Zaragoza is about 4 hours. but worth the effort.

Valencia is an alternative. What i would say is if you book Barcelona or Valencia as a return booking, expect to sit on the ferry for 12 hours on the return sailing. wheras Denia is 3 hours.

Edit: Where are you staying in Ibiza?

Just looked at the location as might be around there next year
seems to be a B&B Hotel now https://maps.app.goo.gl/EHz84MutK6umY7ht5 -
scroll back to 2022 on Streetview and it was still the Ibis

Accor seems to have offloaded a load of their hotels, presumably under-performing or scabby ones, to B&B

Cheers. I'll go from Valencia. That's where my route ends.

Yeah I've noticed they have off loaded their hotels, however for location and bike parking security it's great. :thumb2

If you do end up there, the Main Square and Cathedral-Basilica are stunning but the Tavernas of the old town like Vinos Nicolas are well worth seeking out the place is full of beautiful women in the evening (and not hookers :D) https://www.google.com/maps/place/V...try=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDYyMi4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==
