Anyone got three spare spokes for an r1150 GSA wheel? If not where would I get some?

Getting the wheel trued and three spokes need serious tweaking but need spares in case the ones in question break!

Btw I'm seeing a wheel whisperer and he's made improvements so far.

I bought spare front and rear spokes for an Iceland trip in 2005 for my then 1150ADV......Bought them from Motorworks complete with spare nipples and grub screws.

I still have them and I think they'd fit my GSA30 but i've read on here that they can be a real b*gger to get out of the wheel rim.

I don't think they were that expensive.

Thanks. I hadn't thought of Motorworks. Getting a full set of cables for the bike soon. Might put a few spokes and fittings on the order.

Yeah, Motorworks are your men; I had to get some from them about two years ago when some plonker left the U-Lock on my front wheel and tried to drive off :hide actually...........that was me

Cant remember how many I got, but I may have an unused one - pretty sure I dont have three, but I'll have a look when the rain stops. They are easy enough to fit, but can be tricky to get out of the rim and you may be able to re-use the nipples, but I got new ones just in case. They weren't expensive, but postage was a PITA, so if you're getting other stuff at the time, that would be ideal.

I don't want a set. I only want three. Maybe four.

Go on. How much for a set of second hand bobbins and spokes? Just one set though /)

Is there someone over that rebuilds wheels? Thinking of getting mine rebuilt with stainless spokes.

central wheel company or devon wheels

essjay good on you decided keep the bmw

just so know, rear is ok rebuid, problems are the front as they buckle with hard ridng and can twist when taken apart

lad in uk says some front wheels are ok but when taken apart can not be re tuned.

but rear is ok to do

no one here does bmw wheels

but ian in baldricks did say to me if you build them he will true them out for you

OK, so I found two brand new spokes and nipples for a 1150GSA front in the shed. Sorry not three - but better than one ! Post on here if interested
