hello there would someone happen to have the manufacturer id numbers of the two crown wheel bearings at hand thanks

Sorry Stupid me Early GS 1200 2005 non vented and smaller 30mm pinion think all the crown wheel side is the same through the years thanks .

Thank you very much but I have that info already it was the original manufacturer Id number probably an INA bearing with a part number beginning with an F, I was after. This number is usually etched on the side thanks.

My mistake, I should take more time to read and understand the question. :blast

Maybe drop Mikeyboy a PM, he probably has a bucket full of old bearings from drives.

If anybody knows the OE sizes and marks, he will.

For the outer/ wheel side ball race I have used SKF Explorer series 6013-2RS1 . This one normally fails as it is not in the oil bath.
I would normally change this bearing without removing the final drive from the bike, just unbolt and remove the FD cover with the bearing in it.
If the other crown wheel bearing ( Roller Bearing INA F-237895) needs replacing, then chances are that all the bearings in the FD need replacing.

Always correctly use heat/cold to disassemble the wheel bearing. Simply forcing it off can lead to the new bearing having a loose fit on the wheel carrier flange.

Mike explained the details somewhere but its easy enough to work out when you remove the main wheel bearing and pinion assembly.
