Just what I needed, find a hotel it Gibralta, check in and while unpacking the bike I see oil in the tyre, ^%>$^€*++%<%€$*. Call recovery service, and because it's abroard they can't give an estimate on when someone will show up - only good thing is that they speak English here, and that there is a BMW shop in Algaciras.....

Tough luck Casper.

Is is misting or is it a proper dripping leak? If it`s just misting it maybe just the seal which is a 10 minute job

I had my diff seal start to leak in Ireland last year and did approx 1000 miles before it got sorted. It looks worse than it really is.

Hope you get sorted a.s.a.p.

Not having much luck there, especially after your tarmac surfing incident the other day

Is the oil leaking from the wheel side of the final drive or the other side?

I got the bike towed to BMW in algraciras, and the first assestment was that it would take >3 days to fix (great), then while I was arranging a replacement vichile with bmw they had aother look at it and it then turned out to be the gearbox seal, and they had it in stock - got the bike back Monday evening.

I had a chat with the manager, how is the only one who speaks English, and they do NOT ship parts to Morocco, but will try to help over the phone if needed.

Too right, Ozzy did his clutch in Merzouga and was towed to Spain by an Aprillia , oh the shame...........

Did I forget to mentionthat I dropped it in a low speed corner on Saturday:-( (gotta love my crashbars and H&B cases), all in all an eventfull trip, and I still have to get home from Granada, more about that later.

I drive very very carefully these days..
