Jim

Final drive jerky

Thought with the title this belonged in the GStro section :augie

Sensible replies will be along soon

you mean the transmission as a whole I assume, not the final drive itself (the big lumpy bit in the middle of the back wheel)?

If so, yes throttle balance & TPS reset need checking first. It ought to be covered in your next service if you can last that long.

Clutch is self adjusting.

Bloody hell, my imagination has cost me a fortune over the years, but hey......:D

It could be one of the driveshaft joints inside the swingarm about to let go.

Then again it could be nothing.:nenau

If you are really that concerned, why not visit your dealer for peace of mind ?

Went for its MOT today (i forgot) and me thinks not a problem

No excesive wheel play !!!!!!!:eek: FAIL :tears

Nip down to SBW and its final drive failure  only done 13000miles

Good news is its under warranty :D Bad news is might not be fixed until Saturday

Wapping my imagination isnt that good

Final drive failure at 13k Yikes ...... by your laid back approach tells me this isn't uncommon ..... what have i done by buying this bike:mmmm

Im thinking "its a money pit"

It failed its MOT today again after having the repair done.

The headlight wants to be a star and now point upwards and its £220 for a new one , apparently the adjusters break when you hit a pot hole :blast

Its a off road bike that cant hit a pot hole ? :blast

Im going to honda and have alook at the nice new VFR 1200

FFS
