You need a molybdenum disulphide based grease for sliding metal surfaces like splined shafts. The combination of molybdenum and sulphur gets deposited (by burnishing) into alternating layers, allowing molecules to slip without galling or tearing.

Best bet is to scrub some into the splines using an old toothbrush before assembly.

There’s another thread on this somewhere, the splines on the paralever are not a sliding joint, the shaft follows a constant radius

All the grease needs to do is stay in place to prevent corrosion

Chain drive is the future - far better than these high maintenance shaft drives :D I like belts. Chains are so messy

Unless the shaft runs on the exact centreline of the swingarm/FD, there will be some degree of relative movement during articulation, however sleight that may or may not be.
