Final Drive on order

How long have people waited - mine`s been on order (following play in rear wheel diagnosis at 4K miles)for over two weeks now, and I`m getting anxious?

Forgive this numpty question: is this 'play' you describe the amount of 'wobble' on the rear wheel in a side-to-side sense?

2 weeks - that's outrageous. I have some friends travelling in the middle east at the moment and one of their final drives has just failed in Jordan. (2nd final drive failure - so both their 12GS's have had this problem at different times in the last 12 month) They ordered one by phoning a dealer in Germany and it was with them 3 or 4 days leter by DHL.
2 weeks - is just taking the preverbial piss !!! Get in there and start shouting at the dealer
