finding objects along a route in Mapsource

Folks,

If you have a route in mapsource is there an easy way of finding, for example fuel stations along the select route other than using 'find nearest' function ?

I'll bear that in mind but I would prefer just to use mapsource, I find it a bit irksome when I need to chop and change between programmes to get what I think is quite a straight forward request from a established programme.

Point of Information on mapsource routes or zumo screen

if you bring the scale up big say 1mile setting and put the info setting on highest they often appear on the route.

keep on that scale and scroll along the route (handtool in Mapsource) or (finger on touch screen on zumo) you should then get the ones along your route.

beware though, unless you keep your POIs up to date, you may be making for a closed down station!
