Hi guys

First proper post on here, got myself my first road bike just before Xmas

A brand new 1200gsa white and sand, prem and dynamic with sat nav. I'm 25 and love it, I've had a lot of people say its an old mans bike well I love it and hope to ride it when I'm old. I've got 5 days booked around Scotland with the dealer I purchased from and planning a trip to France with friends.

Never ridden on the roads before and never done any touring so its all new to me and I've already spent a fortune on camping gear.

Hopefully I will have some great photos to share and vids when I can get my hands on a gopro3

Here's some pics I've taken so far on the 900 or so miles covered.

Yeah from southport. That's great I won't be a stranger :) yeah I know I only met him twice, such a fit healthy looking bloke, my dad has known mike for quite a while.

Hi from Scotland,

1200 GSA Sandrover is a nice looking bike:thumb...............Spend a wee bit more on a can of ACF50 your new GSA will stay looking as good as new especially if you're riding it through the winter!:thumb

FP.

Thanks for the advice I'm off shopping for some now.

Congratulations on your new GS, and to the world of street riding in general! I recently bought the same bike, even the same color, so I’m enjoying your photo’s!:D I was only able to ride mine the 10 miles home during a brief warming. Now it's back to snow and cold.
That's a serious boat, is it yours?

It's my dads, you can buy it if you want :)

Enjoy the new bike. I doubt you will ever outgrow it, even if starting at 25.

It's not an old mans bike, just a proper mans bike.:thumb

They handle better than any bike I have used. Mine moves through bends much faster than I expect and always without drama. Even a little front end slide was no big deal. On anything else I'd have been pooping.

Wise investments -
  • front fender extender
  • front crud guard to protect engine case
  • Mudsling and/or hugger

And of course some ACF-50.

Welcome to the site, I thought oh he has a rib, then I spot the Sunseeker what does your dad tow that with?:bow
