Fitting 800gs vario panniers to a 1200gs

Hi all,

Is it possible to fit 800gs vario panniers to a 1200gs on the standard 1200gs mounts?
 
Not without a LOT of work, they have completely different fitting arrangements, and the backs of the panniers have completely different profiles.
