Anybody got any info on fitting adventure tank to 1150.
I am after the routing of the petrol balance pipe under the tank, cannot seem to find any pictures to give me a first clue.

Suppose somebody might point me in the right direction.

I had this problem couple of weeks ago.

Fit a decent length of pipe (24"+) to the l/h tank lobe, fit tank & thread pipe over the top of the engine & behind the Alternator.

From the r/h side, cut to length, fit QD connector & connect to the short pipe from the r/h lobe.

I'd be tempted to cut to length, then take the pipe back out to the left side, fit the QD connector and then thread it back through.

It's a pain in the arse to do, but at least you'll know it'll go through and back that way - rather than finding out in circumstances where you are less well placed to deal with it...

I am suprised BMW do'nt have a specified routing for this pipe, pictures would be nice.

I'm sure they would:D

You'll find there's only a very limited access (no way of taking a useable picture). When you get down to the job, you'll see the only place it can go...

ps Whoever discovers an easy way to thread that pipe through deserves a knighthood - make sure and fold down the 'loose end' of your jubilee clip to avoid it fouling on the way through...
