fitting y piece to 1200

Am about to fit an after market y piece to the 12. Just wanted to ask if it would be ok to use copper slip on the header bolts and threads to the lambder sensors. I ask in case the lambder sensors are delicate to such stuff. Anyone know?

Thread Seal

Fitted Remus headers in October. Didn't use Coppaslip, but some other grey gunk in a tube to ensure a seal. All sealed OK first time.

Are you both talking at cross purposes (or should I say - cross threads ? )
Is Orange asking about applying copperslip to the threads and Boxerboy replying about sealing the pipe joints?

I'm with you on this one....

Coppaslip will prevent nuts, bolts & Lambda sensors from becoming seized (ideal if you think you may wish to remove them at some point)

The grey-gunk used on the other guys bike is an exhaust sealant - which will obviously create a good seal, but may make it difficult to remove the sensors at a later date.

Coppaslip will not harm the Lambda sensors if only applied to the threads which fasten them to the pipe.
