FLAC files

It looks like I will have an occassional requirement to convert .flac files to .mp3. (No other funtionality needed)

What's the software of tossers' choice? Gary?

i forgot the one i use it's on the other pc

i use a FLAC plug in so Nero can read the files, then use Nero to convert to mp3.

you may also need a little file to allow Nero to convert unlimited files to mp3. buy it from Nero creators Ahead Software or just nick it off the interweb.

Mplayer should support FLAC decoding - it's free and completely command line driven, so you can script it as well.

And there are GUIs to wrap around it as well, so you've got the best of both worlds.

I downloaded a Freeware program called Switch from the link you put up. It works fine!
