Been reading a few things on the net re removing the flappy valve thingy in the exhaust on my 15plate GSA has anyone done it? Are there any benefits? Or are there any disadvantages?
And how easy it?
sorry for all the questions
cheers guys

Flappy valve is part of the Front pipes on the LC. £1200 sir ! Just make sure it is in the open position and disconnect the operating cables !

No performance advantage disconnecting it, but no disadvantage either.
Mine is off at the moment as it had seized, it's a TC so used a piece of pipe. You can't.
The only thing I don't like about removing/disconnecting it, is that when the panniers are on, there seems to be a more noticeable increase in the amount of noise from the exhaust. It drones. Think the pannier amplifies it slightly.
Can become a bit tiresome over a distance.
I like the flappy system and having got it freed up, I may put it back on.

Both me and a mate think there's more exhaust noise with panniers on, regardless of flapectomy (or not, in my case)
