I made the mistake of thinking the canbus turned everything off, it turns out Engineer was spot on.

It's a DIN to USB adapter connected to the dash port? If so, unplug it completely as sometime it leaves the port active even though it's supposed to turn off.

Is the heated fleece lead just a dumb cable or does it have any electronics in it.

Either way, you are talking about a 6 year old battery so hardly surprising it's failed

BMW's battery is £150 in rural France, which is where the last one went wrong and had to be replaced.
I dont think Gavin could help there.

Probably the same in rural UK.
There is a Dafy moto shop in nearly every town in France where a Yuasa is around €80, £70.

My 2016 GSA is on a optimate whilst in the garage, but once away anywhere, within 3 days of not running, the battery is so flat it wont even light up the dash.

You mention 2016 bike. You also mention "When away anywhere" and within three days of no use........." But the battery is only five days old......?
