Hi All,
Strange one this any ideas greatly accepted,
Bike 12mts old 1150 gs adv been out for a run 3weeks ago on a friday put bike away then get it out sunday hit the starter and nothing(click).Get gear back off after scratching head call BMW assist,chap arrives, flat battery sir. It reads 12.4volts but under load 6.2.Alternator check fine that reads 20.4.
So bike started off to dealer, they do the same check and then fit new battery foc warrenty job.
since then i Have been out and about then on friday 1st, trip out 128mls.Get back put bike away,sunday trip out 33mls to petrol station stop fill up hit starter,nothing. I wait 20mins disconnect headlight hit the starter with full throttle and just catch it right she fires up and gets me home,strange thing is 2hrs later it still starts and so it did this morning.
Spoke to dealer and at the moment is at a loss,when it happens again i must phone up BMW assist so they can assess the bike as it has happened
