Floppy disc probs !!

I recently had to have a new PC.
I did manage save all my pictures from my previous PC when it went Boom, but the only remaining "stuff" I cannot recover is on an old floppy disc.
When I enter the disc, a pop-up says "no id mark found".

Does anyone know what this is, and can i recover the documents on the disc ?

Have you got a 9 inch floppy, 5.25 inch and floppy, or is it 3.5 inch and quite hard?

Insert the disc, go to dos promt and try chkdsk /F

Try a different floppy disk to check the drive is working properly, floppy drives are rare these days and it may not be working properly.

Everything from freeware to specialist consultancies.
Depends on how import the docs are, I suppose.
