just like to add my thanks to all the others for all of the effort you both put in in sending us your reports.

This Dakar due to both of your efforts has made it the best one ever for me.

Any chance of doing the same next year !

congrats on a brilliant blog orla and eoin this has made the dakar so much more enjoyable ive been glued to two screens for the duration this one being the more interesting.safe home you two and many many thanks

Thanks guys - you did a brilliant job on the reports and photos. really brought the Dakar to life especially with so much of the behind the scene stuff and the insight into life on the Dakar.

Hello Dakar Gal. This is my first post here and nothing better that a "quote" on a Dakar report. What a great adventure you guys did. Usualy we see pics and news from the professional rider and not much from the amateurs riders. Please post more pics.
I was itent to go to Argentina to see the departure but money, job and the end of the year didn'd allow me , may be next year........lets see.....

In 2008 when the Dakar Rally was sadly cancelled in Lisbon, myself and Eoin decided we’d go to the next years event if it was to go ahead. What we didn’t know was that the entire rally would be moved to South America, and our little holiday plans would turn out to be bigger and more expensive than we had planned :eek:, but we decided to stick with it, and after a years planning and much excitement, we are finally here:thumb2.

My i thank you for a great report, i couldn't stop reading as so exciting.

What an Adventure, did it cost a lot for the hire of bikes & How much did it cost to repair the damaged bike ?

Would you do it again ?

Glad to see the rackpack survived.. told you yellow was best..! lol

Great photo's too. I winced when I saw the one of the bruises. Ouch!
