On the road, for now:-)
I have noticed that me right "leg" is weeping at the seal, this has only happened recently. Is this a difficult job? I no I need to use genuine seals but which oil do you recommend, I will probably take the forks off myself then take them to a repair shop for oil n seals to be fitted.

Somebody must have done this before. Any heads up would be appreciated, I think they are the original seals, she is on 67,000.

It is a 15 minute job, check the hall of wisdom steptoe posted (you do not need to strip the leg) Note... get a 14mm(I think) 6 point socket for the top nut not the 12 point..

Oh yes note the right way up... (dont ask why)

Unbelievably easy job to do, as mentioned previously, just follow steptoes' guide. 15 min job at the most if you include a tea break:augie I bought my parts from motorworks, buy the bits and do it yourself.

just bought the bits for mine today 2 seals and bottle of oil from bmw £26 didnt think that was bad doing them both tomorrow.

Why buy oil. You don't need to drain any from the forks.

both my seals have gone, been leaking since christmas and a good miles to so i thought i would just do the whole thing.

IF you think you've lost that much oil measure the depth of the oil in the fork leg. Approx 5 - 6inches from the top. Just pour the oil into the open slider. The oil is only a lubricant, and has no effect on damping like normal forks.
