Fitted some bar risers at the weekend and in the process I had to move the brake cable to behind the forks. This involves sliding the fork out of the yoke, re-routing the cable then putting it back.

Anything is easy with the right tools but I didn't have a 22mm spanner to hold the bolt. In the end I had to use an adjustable one and in the process slightly rounded a couple of the edges. It looks messier than it really is but being the perfectionist that I am I wish I'd done a better job.

Looking at it I don't think for a moment it is but can anyone tell me if this bolt is replaceable or whether it would be a whole replacement slider? (Note this pic is borrowed from Steptoe and is an 1150 slider but for the purposes of this post it's the same)

Considering I never intend ever to loosen this bolt again I'm more inclined to just leave it but thought I'd ask all the same.

That's the only diagram I've found too but it's not totally clear whether it's all part of the slider or whether it's replaceable.

Looking at pictures such as the one I posted, it would appear that the bolt is part of the slider and therefore not replaceable. Having said that I can't be the only one to have ever part rounded the bolt or even rendered it completely useless?

£120 for a new slider just sounds ludicrously expensive to me for a replacement slider from Motorworks!
