I have very tidy 03 Rockster in my garage. Well, let me qualify that. Tidy except for the badly flaking paint on the fork bottoms. From what i've read, these forks are the same as those of the 1150GS of the same era and the fault is not entirely unknown! The upper anodised sliders are still perfect. I'd like to have the lowers powder coated. Anyone know whether the cast alloy fork lowers actually detach from the rest of the slider? If so how is this done?
