Well what started as 2 brothers on 2 bikes evolved into my mate jumping on the back of me, and my brother's son doing likewise. The more the merrier
One GSA.
And one loaded K1600 GTL. My mate is into photography and brought along his megga (size and weight) DSLR. At least we should have some good pics.
The other thing about my mate is he's never ridden a bike before, or been pillion - so this was going to be some test
The route.
We had the Bank Holiday week to play with, and I sweetened the plan by giving us some mountain biking time in Lake Garda as well as visits to the Porsche and Mercedes museums in Stuttgart (advance warning of lots of car porn pics to come
).
Setting off.
Baden Baden
The first day gave us the opportunity to call into the F1 qualifying at Spa, but in common with lots of Europe this summer it was absolutely tipping it down so we ploughed on
Things brightened up going down the Mosel Valley and we stopped in Vianden to dry out.
The dark clouds started rolling in and the remaining part of the journey to Baden Baden was mainly moist.
However our destination was dry.
It gave the opportunity for a few photos before we moved on to the B500
