They are faster, bigger heavier and more complicated, plus the owner is less likely to smell of wee!
There were a few of the old 2v engines with 4v heads, like the Krauser!

You can't compare the two different models.
One is air-cooled with it's design from way back in time which had small upgrades over it's model life, the biggest change came in 1970.
The other is oil cooled, and was a completely different design of bike including frame/suspension/steering/fuel injection etc, every single part is different, even down to the ignition key.
Like comparing a Ford Prefect to a Ford Mondeo.
