hi folks, just a quick question,in the event of a fpc failure,i have been looking at rhe workaround, get me home mode.
going to the blue plug is two wires a white and a blue, which wire do i use from the live of the accessory plug (ie the center wire being the live out of the acc plug).
so am i corect in thinking center wire to the blue, and the earth to the white.
many thanks.

thankyou toad ,thats what i wanted to know, white is positive blue is negative.:thumb

Fizzer unless you have a hardwired accessory plug it may not work

Basically if the canbus "sees" excessive load it shuts down that power source hence no fuses on the 1200s

But if you hardwire to the battery (with an inline fuse) you are good to go :aidan

If you need any sockets or plugs I still have a dozen left

yes please mr farkoff,if you have a blue plug that would be brilliant that goes on the end of the fpc that would be brilliant,i will pm you .:beerjug:

Sorry Fizzer You have misunderstood if you make up your "fly" lead to go into the normal accessory socket It may shut down as the canbus will "see" excess current and shut down that circuit to protect it

I had the DIN accessory plugs and Sockets for sale a while back and have some left

For my bike I took out the FPC and I cleaned it all down and filled the connections and coated the seal with vaseline and refitted it and gave the whole lot a light slap of waxoyl and made a rain cover from an old oil container to stop any water getting in

I am pleased to say that I still have the MkII FPC fitted MkII as in it was replaced in 2005 in to my 2004 bike before I had said waterproofing session

:thumb, aye got you mate, its the blue two pin pug i need ,then i would just make a fly lead up to my battery.cheers.
