Nice job Shaun Looks far better than that dull 'black' they come with.

Cookie, trust me, it's not hard to wear that area on a GSA. My previous 12GS had hardly dulled the shine by 25000km but on the GSA I had shiny metal before 5000km. Not the same finish IMHO.

I have an identical rubbed off spot Shaun - noticed after about 1500 miles (didn't look before). I've put some clear plastic over it, can't decide if its worth making an issue of. It's the result of riding how we're supposed to-balls of the feet on the foot rest. The heel plate covering the brake fluid reserviour gets rubbed on the right hand side for the same reason (and on my old 1150 polished up nicely as a result and does add character).
