Free DVD ripper

Just wondered which DVD ripper is worth using, what people are using? Want something that's free(like everyone), easy to use, and not full of spy-ware etc. Did a search but a lot of the recommendations are a few years old now and things move along quickly in the computer world I am told.

Handbrake

you'll need VLC installed as well to get past the encryption.

+1 for Handbrake

Run it, select DVD drive as source, hit start. Result is good quality MP4 file with no copy protection. I have only found one DVD it would not crack.

I use Mac version, I guess PC one is just as good.
