Free software for gif editing ?

I have found a gif that I would have used for a new avatar, but it is too big. How can I freely edit/shrink it ?

Its also a feckin huge file , its on here already somewhere but I had to cut alot out of it to make it Avatarable ?Spelling?

I'l try and find it................bear with me...

(1)Don't think anyone used it for long, its free source

(2)I use animation shop 3 (Jasc) to er...adjust Gifs and Adobe Photoshop to add or change the image.

(3) Thanks.....Ah the AH64 Apache(bit of a fan of that machine), I am in the Cash & Carry business, I just have a lot of free time and no friends.
