From the Source to the Sea.

Having read Nudies 'Bridges To Cross' I thought, well as no one's done it
yet (they probably have) I'll have a shot at going for the source to the sea and getting as many bridges as I could.

Here goes on one of our few dry days.

First one was above Spelga.

Spelga Dam.

2nd bridge, but decided it wasn't or the Babe.

New Bridge.

Footbridge at Eight Mile Bridge. Couldn't get the Babe across. Too Big.

Eight Mile Bridge, Hilltown.

Next one was Mill Bridge.

then onto Cavan Road Bridge.

McCombs Bridge was next..

Bannfield Bridge

This one's of the disused railway (twinned arched) and the Bann Bridge
on Circular Road.

On to the A1 ......

Into Banbridge, this footbridge is from the road bridge leading into s.

Crozier Square and the old R.U.C. Barracks with the Bann behind it...

Back into the cuds as I head northwest wards....

King Billy crossed the Bann nearby back in the day on one of his pilgrimages

The Babe crossed yesterday without getting her feet wet.

Not recommended if you're on a Goldwing.

Milltown Bridge...

The plan was to cross as many bridges tooing and flowing as you would and according to maps and local knowledge it'd be no problem. Wrong. After this one, I found the exit blocked.

If the exit hadn't been blocked I would have come out at this, Point Bridge at Lawerence Town.

Next stop was Tullylish Bridge, but as there was a full wedding in swing, I gave it a miss. Next was Gilford....

Motored on towards Portadown but first passed this.....

This is the 'new' Portadown bridge with the Belfast/Dublin line behind.

It was then to Lough Neagh via the motorway. (wasn't going to stop on it)

Where the Bann enters Lough Neagh...

and just to remind you that you're at Lough Neagh are these feckers..

Heading north on the west side of Lough Neagh crossing at Maghery
footbridge....

Nice place to stop for a picnic at Moyola River, Artillery Road.

The river now becomes the Lower Bann from Lough Neagh....
