The beak assembly is out of alignment on my new bike and I remember someone else having this issue with an LC, I wonder, can anyone point me to that thread or the geezer posted it as I can't remember what the outcome was.

I've informed the dealer and expect them to sort it out, but being forearmed is always a good place to be. :thumb2

Yeh,i remember that post you refer to. After reading i went to my garage to check my lc beak alignement but all was well. Perfectly straight. Sorry cant put you onto the post but hope its sorted for you.

Oh dear, I'd check the left to right lock with the bars first, as my left hand switch gear touched the tank on left lock and on right lock it was 3" away, it was deemed to have a faulty frame and the front end was twisted .

I can feel the beginning of another saga coming on, it wouldn't be too much of a problem if I hadn't purchased the bike for our 'Tour of Ireland' in just over two weeks time, however is ride-able, although I haven't used it yet, so do I start riding it until my first service or ask them to take it back and sort it now?

FFS

Get it straight back to the dealer don,t pass go..........

Its your neck............

Their problem not yours ...........

I would ride it to the first service and get it sorted then

If the frame was built wrong, what else could be compromised? Take it back ASAP

Take it back. Don't ride it.:rob

Mine was also replaced by BMW for the same issue as Ding-Dong. Although I didn't fall off mine!:P

They told me to ride it until the first service, and then they would look at it then, to be fair the sales man had ridden it to my place a distance of 82 miles, so he knew it rode ok!

Anyway I couldn't just there stand looking at it feeling miserable, so I thought what will the dealer do first? they will probably undo everything on the headlamp front sub-frame and try and fix it! So I thought well I could do that, so that's what I did, removed the plastic, slackened off all of the mounting bolts on the front end framework and gave it a bit of a anti-clockwise twist and nipped it all back up, She looked pretty good after that, then I got on it and road it up the Whitby and back which was a 200 mile round trip the way I did it, I called in at Heartbeat country on the way.
The bike was just fab, handled like dream lovely and smooth it's just brilliant, in fact I'm gonna stick my neck out and say for me it's a better bike than my 2013 bike. I can't put my finger on just what it is, but it felt really great, very slick box and clutch, and feels like a smoother power delivery.
So this morning things were looking a bit grim, but by the end of the day, 9.00pm when I got back, we were mates, me and my bike, so I'm happy, it's the beginning of a new relationship!
Thanks for your support guys especially those who pm'd me with help and advice, hopefully I'm sorted. Cheers:beerjug:

Glad to hear you've no longer got your nose out of joint................ :blast

It's nice to see common sense rearing it's head on this site for a change :clap
