front shock

pulled the bike of the centre stand this morning and there was a hissing noise
on closer inspection it looks like the oil is releiving itself from the front shock ???
has anyone experienced this ? bikes been recovered to coopers to sort out,not what you expect from a six month old bike

Qantas didn't expect a Rolls Royce engine to fail last year. And for sure Rolls Royce's quality control will be at a higher level than Showa. All things mechanical can have issues. That's why there are warranties; to cover defects in material or workmanship. Let your dealer fix it and get on with enjoying your bike.

Yes, but mine wasn't 6 months old - it was 6 hours old

In the great scheme of things, probably not. It was sorted quickly and efficiently and was fine (fuel guage excepted) for the next 40k. 12k into another one now and that's been fine.
