Front Tourance is perishing

I got a letter today from Pirelli (aka Metzeler) stating that they had inspected my perished tyre which my dealer had returned to them, and based on the remaining tread life they are giving me a 90% allowance against the cost of the replacement I bought. This is purely in the interests of customer satisfaction and is not an admission of fault on their part. I now have to contact my local tyre dealer for the refund.

I am very plesed with this result, well done Metzeler (aka Pirelli). Good customer service indeed, and happy to continue with Tourance tyres which are excellent IMHO.

Just noticed that the front Tourance was cracking on my tyre, but only on the right hand side, dont know when it was put on, as its been on all the time that I have owned the bike, its the old "H" rated one though, no big deal, as I had a new one ready to fit, which is now fitted, interestingly, the old one had 45g weight fitted 180 degrees from the valve, whereas the new one only needed 15g, glad I spotted it, as I am due to go to Normandy on it in a fortnight, loaded with luggage and the wife.

Ditto

They are my favourite tyre, but had one that was dangerously perished, got a 80% refund, was prepared to let one duff tyre go, but now I have the same on another front, seems others have too, a class action by all of us maybe? I await your thoughts, check ya Tourance's now! cheers Dusan :thumb2:confused::thumb2
