im going to stick a new front tyre on the bike before i go to le hog .
i think its a bridgestone on there at the moment 130-90-16 ,this will be my first tyre change on the harley ,normally my bikes dont stay that long to wear a tyre out :augie.
so anyone got any tried recommendations ,no whitewalls though.

I use Avon Venoms. They seem ok. Certainly better than the Harley Dunlops that were on it.

i was only going to replace the front ,as the back is good ,normally i wouldnt do this on the other bikes ive had ,i replace as a set.
on this occasion ,and for this type of bike /riding ,cruoooooooooosing .I think its ok

Another vote ...

... for Avon Venoms, well pumped up of course :thumb

I run Avon Venoms, only criticism is they are very pressure sensitive and need to be run at 36psi bang on!

theres two types of avon venoms ,now dont laugh, well you can if you want ,but i looked them up on e bay .
and i take it its the one that says harley davidson fitment ,not big cruisers ,as there two completly different tread patterns .
when i learn to do the link thingy ,ill be able to show you :blast

This is the tread pattern of the last set I bought. Although the Avon website is recommending Avon Cobras now, traditional the Venom R was for very wide fitment and the cobra for v-rods rocket 3' etc......

Looks like they "do" cobras for all now....

Phone Avon, they are very helpful

I recentley put metzeler me880s on my bobber & in my opinion they are the best tyres I've had on a harley, some people complain that you dont get as much mileage out of them compared to other brands but i'd take lower mileage any day for the ride you get on these.
