Just got my new wheel bearings to fit in, but cant remember how it all goes back in! Well, i have 2 large washer looking things which have lips on the inner diameter. Where do they go??? Pics would be even better. '99 1150 front wheel

Many thanks

Are they to keep the inner spacer centralised? ie the long spacer that fits in the centre of the wheel, and if so, how do they stay in place:nenau

TVM Northengit. The spacer i refer to is item no6 in the diagram. However, the one in the pic has two rings around it, i presume, to centralise it in the hub? Mine is just a smooth cylinder, but i have two washers with the inner hole bent in slighty. I think they are for the same reason, but how do they fasten in? They aren't quite tight enough to just stay in place? Any one have a clue what i'm talking about???? I found a thread by cool carbon from when he had some powder coating done, describing the very same items, but no outcome:(

Posts: n/a Fitting Wheel Bearings...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've just had my Alloys re-powder coated..

I need to re-fit the bearings in the front wheel now which seems straight forward enough looking at the CD Rom manual...

However, I seem to have two spacers/washers with a lipped inside edge that I can't figure where to fit...

Got the two bearings (in the freezer as we speak), the Tube that sits between them, the speedo drive pick up and the rubber(?) seal and circlip...

Where do the washers go?

Any advice oot there please..?

I've had a gander ay my printed manual and its the same as the diagrams I posted you.... having never fitted these brg's I'am guessing a bit here, but I think if you try and gently twat/ tap them flat ( ie take the dish out of the washer ) they may tighten up around the cylinder and just help to centre it.
But I may be talking bollix. :thumb2
