Fuel Consumption - off the chart!!

Anything over 5000 rpm and the mpg takes a hammering.

On Steppers Moroccan dash in 07, I was at about 37mpg whilst sitting at 95 ish:augie I'm normally mid forties for all types of riding.

I have seen 31mpg when I was late to Donnington one race day:green gri

1200 with expanded varios has the aerodynamics of a brick wall. High speeds take their toll and headwinds also make dent in consumption. I have not managed less than 40 mpg, but rarely stay above 80 for long.

Have a look at the exhaust exit. Is it covered in soot. I had a O2 sensor fail and fuel consumption plumeted. Struggled to get 120 miles a tank on my useual commute where i would normally get 230. The soot was obvious and was also all over the number plate.

MPG

:bounce1:roll:bounce1Who cares --- bad MPG = bloody good time !!
If milage makes that much difference sell it and buy an efficient motor ........If not keep putting the fuel in and stop worrying XX :beerjug:
