I have an 07 1200GS it's doing 42 mpg true at motorway pace computer is telling me 48.5 would a trip to hilltop improve this?
Anyone who has had there bike done by hill top noticed an improvement in consumption?

Depends on your definition of motorway pace.
Sounds about right if you're sitting at 70-80mph.
I use the AF-XiED units and average around 52mpg overall but it does dip noticeably at higher speeds.
A remap or AF-XiED's make the bike run slightly richer. But this means that you may change up earlier or need to change down less. But you do tend to, ahem, use it a bit.
I would say mine is within 1 or 2 mpg from standard, but a lot nicer to ride.
Man up and admit it.
"Look pet, if I spend this money on a remap/AF-XiED, I'll get it back in no time due to the better fuel consumption."

Problem is, after hilltop, your bike is now running properly and more efficiently. This does equate to a better fuel consumotion, HOWEVER it actually translate to using the extra power.

42 is good, I'm averaging 35 !

Extra power corrupts absolutely.

I "only" have a PCV that could be better set up but it's still massively better than standard. I do far too much M-way type roads so fuel is around 43 or 43 (real measured). It used to be 45 or 46.
Am I using all that instantly available performance of course not.
