Fuel filter

Had a job in this week on a 2003 1150RS, fuel pump primed when turning on ignition, but only a dribble of fuel reaching the injectors.
Pulled the internals out of the tank and it still had the original fuel filter fitted.
Took it off and the fuel dripped out black.
New filter, plus the owner also wanted a new pump fitted while it was all out.
All back together and it fired up and run first press of the starter — wonder how many times someone has paid for new fuel filter to be fitted over the last 22 years

Had a replacement fuel filter fitted in the Congo. The garage manager (French) refused to fit a Chinese item and insisted on a European brand...which I happily accepted

Only 22 years!, I’d send it back for a refund.
