I'm not getting the warning light on unexpectedly, but...
My fuel gauge /range displays have been consistent if not exactly accurate since I had the bike and I was fine with that.
But now it's all over the shop: as I'm riding the gauge and calculated range seems to "stick" for ages at a point and then plummet quickly and it's also now started sticking when fill up.
Bike was reading 120 miles for ages, which was impossible unless some good samaritan had filled the tank for me, so I fill up and ride the 8 miles home to find it's now reading 160!
Get up in the morning and it's still not reading full and telling me the range is 220 then over the course of 40 mile journey to work it goes up to over 370 and is reading full!
Another 80 miles (home and back to work) and it's showing ony one bar down.
