When I put a deposit on a new 2010 GS Adventure the sales guy told me that the common fuel gauge problems had been fixed. Then I see people with 2010 models posting that the problem's still occurring.

I'm just wondering how common this problem actually is. Also, if you've had this issue, did the dealer fix it and did it stay fixed or did it come back?

the fuel guage seems to be like the fd or fps or corrosion or oil burning, some do some don't,it's pretty poor really, wish the jap builders came up with a better bike, maybe the new yam will be better but they don't want you to try before you buy so maybe not!

Yeah, that new Super Tenere sounds great & I'd buy one if I could. Not available in the US, though.

The first 2010's have the 2009 Elect. fuel sensor.
Subsequent ones will have a new Mech. float arrangement.

Mines just been in with faulty elect.

Best regards Stretch:)
