Fuel level indicator doesn't work

Since I own my HP2 enduro the fuel level indicator doesn't work. Did any body have this problem?

Since I own my HP2 enduro the fuel level indicator doesn't work. Did any body have this problem?

The HP2 instrument does not show the fuel level and don't think it has the same sensor in the tank as the rest of the 1200GS range. It should show a flashing yellow light with a countdown mileage of how far you can still go before empty

I once dropped the bike and that particular count down feature stopped working, I think something inside the tank got stuck on full Took it to BMW and asked them to fix it one service and got into an argument with the techie as he told me it does not have the countdown feature

As I started up the bike it worked again and I called him over - apparently he has never seen that in his life before

Mine screwed up right after I got the bike. Stuck float I believe. It is different then the standard gs. Never had a problem with it again. Richard

I have recently fitted the HPN tank and improved oil cooler Dsexy) and can confirm the fuel system is totally different to a standard GS.
the fuel level indicator and float are connected to the fuel filler tube at the front of the tank and not the pump assembly as in the GS.
I was wondering as i played happily in my shed, with all my nice shiny bits Klaus sent me. Has anyone fitted standard GS clocks and if so do you get a fuel level indicator as oposed to the warning only???

Yeh its only expired recently mate, but I'm working away a lot and cant be arsed renewing just yet.

besides it kind of puts you off somtimes when ya read the shit that some of the old farts give people just for asking a question that was asked in 1987 or somthing. but hey we are all individuals it is funny to watch them argue though.

Meine seems to work when it wonts to ! I rather it dident work it a paine in the bum allways flashing for what du I have a trip
