And here's the laugh... Back in the noughties with me 11GS number 3 I was riding south from Aberdeen in really shitty weather, plenty of rain and a bad headwind... Not concentrating enough I fucked up the reserve calculation and ran out a couple of miles short of services on the M74/M6... I thought " oh yeah, that tip, lean it over as far as you dare etc" so I did and hey presto I made it to the services and thanked UKGSer for the advice...And here’s a tip…. If you run out of fuel lay the bike down on the righthand cylinder, then tip it over a bit more. The trapped fuel from the L/H lobe will transfer to the righthand side where the fuel pump is, and you’ll get another 10/15 miles
