Fuel light

And here’s a tip…. If you run out of fuel lay the bike down on the righthand cylinder, then tip it over a bit more. The trapped fuel from the L/H lobe will transfer to the righthand side where the fuel pump is, and you’ll get another 10/15 miles
And here's the laugh... Back in the noughties with me 11GS number 3 I was riding south from Aberdeen in really shitty weather, plenty of rain and a bad headwind... Not concentrating enough I fucked up the reserve calculation and ran out a couple of miles short of services on the M74/M6... I thought " oh yeah, that tip, lean it over as far as you dare etc" so I did and hey presto I made it to the services and thanked UKGSer for the advice...
Thing was... I leant it to the left...😆🤣 Even the bike can have the placebo effect...😁👍

In your tired and confused state you may have been standing facing the bike :D

What do you do if your bike runs out of fuel
Push it over and your good to go
You couldn’t make this up

I’ve had to do it , and remember Blowzorn running out of fuel on the way back ftom Morocco and tipping his 1150ADV right over when he run out.. it then got him to the next petrol station :D

And better than the days of reserve taps and reaching down to find you're already on it...😆

Yep, I've done this successfully. Easy to do, once you've mastered lifting the bike back up without herniating yourself. :D
