What do you suggest or neither.

On reflection, I may have, why would I have both in stock, I have a feeling that I may have bought R7 by mistake some time ago.

Ethanol/chemical resistance and pressure are it seems the main factors which one to choose…
30R 9 seems the best choice…..

VW website…they have those rear boxers , higher temps with air cooled and possibly a higher risk of engine fires….
