Fuel Prices

This is where my head starts to spin a bit...France, apparently has 3 months supply of oil within the country...so WTF are they doing increasing prices massively within days of the middle east shenanigans.....

I should imagine that’s (in part at least) the government’s strategic reserve, not the amount held by Total etc etc. Similarly, some part might well have been brought forward, ie. for delivery in May, June and July, which all counts to a three month reserve…. Assuming it turns up.

All governments don’t mind a bit of a fuel price hike, as it produces an increased tax revenue. They can turn their eye away from the inflationary aspect it brings.

Don't worry, France paid Iran a $2m toll to get a tanker through the straight so should be delivered to France in a few weeks (y) (y)

Could depend who owns the oil reserves, plus what kind of oil ? Also many countries including France rely on fuel imports rather than refining it themselves so are reliant on fuel production and demand elsewhere. It's noticeable that the price of diesel in France has rocketed past that of petrol by quite a margin which also might highlight refinery issues?
I have never seen diesel more expensive than petrol in Portugal! It is now, bit of a mind fuck for all and as a result traffic that was already sparse, is even more so!
It is all crooked though, the whole dam lot of it.

A mate just sent me this , refuelling in Holland today !

A tad expensive !!

If you can be arsed , the 1-2-3 Fuel app is quite good , giving you instant prices at petrol stations in France , Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy .

Used it on and off for a good while .

Might be worth a look whilst prices are a tad erratic.
That's all in foreign so I have no idea what it means

My usual local garage £158.99, down 1p since Monday.
Saying that a little garage near Lytham yesterday was £152.99

We are in Ausrria at the moment , went out at 9am this morning and diesel was €1.849 per litre came back at 1pm and at the same garage it was up to €1.899 per litre and expected to continue to rise due to the actions of rhe bright orange f@cktard

We get updates from work about impending fuel rises in the UK.

Had an email to fill up this weekend as fuel is due to rise 4-5p a litre next week.

£2 on the average tankful.

Most of us lose more than that in change just sitting down over the course of a few days.

If you want to be angry, talk to the exchequer.

All interesting, but let’s be honest, we will just pay what’s required to do the distances we want to.

I can’t see too many people cutting trips back due to fuel prices.

I think they operate the same as Germany. You can drop the price as many times per day as you like, but only hike it twice. One of those being 12 noon.

Well, just to prove you wrong.......

Ive just told the boss i wont be in for the foreseeable future until fuel prices come down.
