well , heres a different angle !
My fuel pump control unit failed on me in Bilbao , i limped with interrmitant
surges and periods of ""She will be fine "" until she gave up in Madrid.
I found the BMW Garage , Who all told slipped a Pre booked bike out and me
in , So fair play to them.
In my search for SUB Eur50 Accomadation , Billie and i wandered into the
gay and Lesbian , Crossdressin and all other Sorta sexuality ,that i {being a
country boy } Know Nothing about ,, Area of Town.
The Bike was fixed on the Second evenin , but we stayed a Third night.
I dont know what the Area is called , its at the Bottom of "O Donnell " Street
to the Right , and houses an abundance of Pensions .........
I would never have had the Experiance if not for the Pump breaking ,

To Conclude ,
Its the Interuptions that make the Journey ,

Yep Deffo the Plaza Chueca area,Madrids version of San Francisco's Castro Street, some good clubs ,pubs and err.................ahem Parlours to be found:augie

Ted Simon says many times in both his books that the best parts of his journeys were when adversion had to be overcome. Many of his best experiences were in the people he met while geting the bike, towed, carted or fixed somewhere.

I personally don't want an ews or pump failure, cos we know the fix is a BMW caal out if you are lucky enough to be somewhere they will come. In Europe you are faily OK, for many of us we are on our own...
