Fuel pump related question

Hi,
I know there has been much said / quoted about the mileage countdown to empty - done to death really. However if I ride my 2011 gs until it runs out of fuel, will this damage the pump / electrical components?
I would just like to know how much further one can go on a tank full.

No it won't do much harm.
It won't tell you much either as the results won't be repeatable.
